In this thesis, fuzzy control of an induction motor has been implemented. The reliability and performance of the AC drives, depends on the progress in power electronics, microelectronics, control methods, artificial intelligent techniques and so on. The asynchronous (induction) motor itself is a very superior electric motor, being simple and robust in structure, easy to maintain and very reliable. In motor control the target is to make constant of the system in a short time to be effected the stability of the system at the minmum level contrary to the sudden load changes. In order to realize these circumstances, many controlling methods have been improved. One of these controlling methods is the fuzzy logic. The basic of fuzzy logic is imitating the human logic by expressions. The three phase squirral cage induction motor has been used in this work. Necessary circuits and softwares have been modelled by using fuzzy toolbox of matlab programme which input and output are analysis much more beter on. In this control technique, fuzzy logic controller (FLC) has been applied instead of the conventional PI controller to speed control unit of an IM.Key Words : AC Induction Machine, Fuzzy Control, PI Control.
