The East African coast met Islam very early date. During its period, its fame exceeded the limits, established dazzling civilization cities, It has been one of the most central points of Islamic history and culture. Swahili civilization has emerged with its unique structure as a result of the Muslim population coming to the region and mixing with the local people in time. This accumulation has built large cities and structures Among these cities, Mombasa, Kilwe and Sofala became important scientific and cultural centers of the period, and this place took place in the books of famous Muslim travelers. However, the situation was reversed by the attacks of the Portuguese, the first colonial power on these coasts, and the 1600s were the beginning of the end for the Swahili civilization. At the request of the people of the region, the Ottoman Empire, which had a certain dominance in the region during the existence of the Portuguese, sent an army to the Sudanese coast. As a result of the conquests of the Ottoman Empire, the last state of which is founded in Africa `Habeşistan State` has emerged. But with the pause and decline experienced in the Ottoman state, the power of the Ottomans was broken after a certain time. After the attacks of the East African coasts, they became German and English colonies, respectively. Tanzania is a united state on the coast of East Africa and gained its independence from Britain in 1961. The critical process leading to the independence of the country began after the first world war. Although the independence process is not a bloody process, there has been a period of rapid change with great strikes and rallies against the colonial administration from time to time. During this period, Muslims, Christians and local religions in the country struggled together, but the role and decisions of Muslims in the struggle were decisive. The first organizations to raise awareness of the Tanganyika community on the way to independence were built by Muslims and led by the first serious uprisings against the colonial government. In this process, Christian and animist people supported Muslims and the struggle.
