The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among decision making, reasoning, working memory, planning, selective attention, fluid intelligence, personality and affect and to investigate these relations with the help of SEM (Structural Equation Model).A total of 100 participants, which consist of 59 female and 41 male were participated in this study. The mean age of the participants was 20.42 (SD= 1.37). Decision making, set-shifting, selective attention, planning, working memory, fluid intelligence, personality and mood state were measured by IGT (Iowa Gambling Test), WCST (Wisconsin Card Sorting Test), Stroop Test TBAG Version, TOLDX (Test of Tower of London), Wechsler Memory Scale-III Letter-Number Sequencing Subtest, RSPM (Raven Standard Progressive Matrices Test), (BPTI) Basic Personality Traits Inventory and PANAS (Positive and Negative Affect Scale), respectively. Instruments were administered individually. The data was analyzed using Pearson moment correlation coefficients and SEM. The findings were evaluated at .05 significant levels. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows: Significant corelation coefficients were obtained fort he IGT Total and Net scores and Total Number of Response (WCST 1), Total Number of Errors (WCST 2), Total Number of Correct Response (WCST 3), Total Number of Persevarative Response (WCST 5), Total Number of Persevartive Errors Response (WCST 6), Total Number of Nonperseverative Errors Response (WCST 7), Percent Perseverative Errors (WCST 8), Trials to Complete First Category (WCST 9), Conceptual Level Response (WCST 10), Percent Conceptual Level Response (WCST 11), Failure to maintain set (WCST 12) scores of WCST; 3., 4. and 5. Part Reaction Time scores and 5. Part Correction score of Stroop Test TBAG Version; Number of Total Moves, Number of Total Correct Responses, Initiation Time and Execution Time scores of TOLDX; Total and Time Scores of Letter-Number Sequency Test; Openness to Experience score of BPTI; Negative Affect score of PANAS. In addition, significant corelation coefficients were obtained for the 1. Block Net Score (IGT 1) and Completed Category Score (WCST 4) of WCST; 2. Block Net Score (IGT 2) and WCST 1, WCST 2, WCST 5, WCST 6, WCST 8 scores; 3. Block Net Score (IGT 3) and WCST 1, WCST 2, WCST 3, WCST 5, WCST 6, WCST 8, WCST 10, WCST 11, WCST 12 scores; 4. Block Net Score (IGT 4) and WCST 1, WCST 2, WCST 5, WCST 6, WCST 8, WCST 9, WCST 11 scores; 5. Block Net Score (IGT 5) and WCST 1, WCST 2, WCST 3, WCST 4, WCST 5, WCST 6, WCST 7, WCST 8, WCST 9, WCST 11 scores. Significant corelation coefficients were obtained fort he IGT 5 and 5. Part Reaction Time Score and 5. Part Correction Score of Stroop Test TBAG Version; IGT 2 and Number of Total Moves, Number of Total Correct Responses of TOLDX; IGT 3 and Number of Total Moves, Number of Total Correct Responses and Initiation Time scores of TOLDX; IGT 5 and The Number of Total Moves, Number of Total Correct Responses, Initiation Time, Execution Time and Total Problem Solving Time scores of TOLDX; IGT 3 and Total and Time Scores of Letter-Number Sequency; IGT 5 and Total Score of Letter-Number Sequency Test; IGT 5 and RSPM Total score; IGT 2 and Openness to Experience score of BPTI. Using the SEM, it was concluded that Decision Making as a dependent latent variable predicted IGT Total Score and Net Score significantly. Moreover, Working Memory, Set-shifting and Planning which are the independent latent variables significantly predicted the Decision Making, too. In contrast, the contrubutions of Selective Attention, Personality and Mood State as the independent latent variables on Decision Making were not significant. Finally, YEM that is constituted by Block Net Scores indiceted that Set-shifting and Planning independent latent variables predicted Decision Making significantly. These findings were discussed within the context of the relevant literature and suggestions for the future studies were discussed.Key words: Decision Making, Cognitive Processes, Personality, Mood State, SEM.
