Özet

The aim of this study is to research the effect of the unit of ?Equations andunequivalents with one unknown which are first degree? which is included inmathematics curriculum of the seventh grade on the student success using RMEsupported education. In this study the pre-post test, pre-post attitude with control group designwere performed. The research was done on control and experiment groupsconsisting of seventy-three seventh grade students who were randomly identified inthe year of 2005-2006.Traditional method was applied to control group while RME supportedMathematics education was applied to the experiment group. Post-test was appliedthe both groups at the end of teaching.Data obtained were analyzed using Independent Samples t-test and PairedSamples t-test.At the end of the study, the data put forward that teaching through RMEsupported education is more effective than traditional method and also it improvesthe students? attitudes positively.Key words: Realistic Mathematics Education / Constructivism / MathsTeaching.

Bu çalısmanın amacıilkögretim yedinci sınıf matematik dersi kapsamındaki?Birinci Dereceden Bir Bilinmeyenli Denklemler ve Esitsizlikler? ünitesinin RMEdestekli ögretim yapılarak ögrenci basarısına etkisini arastırmaktır.Çalısmada ön-son test, ön-son tutum kontrol gruplu desen uygulanmıstır.Çalısma 2005-2006 ögretim yılında yetmis üç yedinci sınıf ögrencisi arasından deneyve kontrol grupları üzerinde gerçeklestirilmistir.Deney grubuna RME destekli matematik ögretimi kullanılarak, kontrolgrubuna ise geleneksel yöntem ile ögretim yapılmıstır. Ögretim sonunda iki gruba dason test-tutum uygulanmıstır.Elde edilen veriler iliskisiz örneklem t testi ve iliskili örneklem t testikullanılarak analiz edilmistir.Analiz sonucunda RME destekli matematik ögretiminin, geleneksel yöntemleyapılan ögretimden daha etkili oldugu ve ögrenci tutumlarını olumlu yöndegelistirdigi sonucuna varılmıstır.ANAHTAR SÖZCÜKLER : gerçekçi matematik egitimi / yapısalcılık /matematik ögretimi.
