Recently, there has been a rapid development in the Middle East region. For the Western Countries, the importance of Middle East regions being the focus has increased more in the new world order which has arisen in the center of preventing international terrorism after the September 11 attacks. Within this concept, the ?Greater Middle East Initiativeas known in the public opinion ?is represented as a plan to design the area with regards to universal values such as democracy, human rights and it has significantly remained on the agenda. In addition to the negative views in respect of the Project such as it is the plan of Western countries and the USA to get the natural resources of the region and thus it is a hegemonic/expansionist action; there are some positive views such as it is for bringing democracy to the region by showing the underdevelopment of Arab countries.Undoubtedly, that the medium-scaled regional Powers having a strategic importance as Iran are in the effort of nuclear armament has the potential of affecting the power balance and safety member in Middle East negatively. In the case that Iran becomes the nuclear power, the existing nuclear armament race in the region will show increase by raising its power and dominance. The USA has been using ideological tools in order to win the international community over in preventing the nuclear activities of Iran. On the other hand, Iran side considers nuclear activities and thus the pressures of the USA as the most important threat towards its own security and continuity of the regime and with the aim of reducing this threat, it focuses its attention on armament and improving the relationships with Russia and China which are in competition with the USA. Stressing that it has the most natural right of having a nuclear technology in this environment and that it has this technology with a peaceful purpose, Iran states that it will not use this technology for producing weapons of mass destruction. The aim of this thesis is to handle the Iran nuclear crisis which has taken place near the top in the World agenda and has still been continuing and to examine the roles of global powers during the process of crisis in a detailed way. It will be tried to analyze the Iran nuclear crisis which may change the progresses of existing events in Middle East area and which is in the characteristic of affecting the fate of region. Analyzing the International Atomic Energy Agency reports with respect to crisis and all related reports and decisions, it has been tried to move according to the facts which do not base on speculations. Auditing results are given step by step.?.
