Dünya Savaşı'na İttifak Devletleri safında girmesinde etkili olmuştur.Bulgaristan 1915 yılı Temmuz ayı ortalarında Osmanlı Devleti ile müzakerelere başlamışve birkaç aylık diplomatik görüşme sonucunda 6 Eylül 1915 tarihinde Osmanlı-BulgarHudut Tashihi Antlaşması imzalanmıştır.
