Özet

For a country to reach the level of developed countries in terms of energy, the energy consumption per capita has to be high and the energy intensity has to be low. These requirements attract the attentions to the industry in which there is the most consumption in the world. In this study, it is focused on the minimising the energy intensity by supplying the higher output by using the same amount of energy considering the data of 2012 in a manufacturing plant which is active in metal goods sector. For manufacturing plant within the scope of the work, at first the energy inputs are determined then capacity-building projects are mentioned for systems that cause bottleneck in production. In the study conducted as a result of the project that is performed for especiallypaint shop and coating departments, the fact that the amount of energy consumed per unit of production is deducted of 43.75 % and that of coating shop is deducted as 25% is concluded.
