Islamic finance means that all kinds of financial activities are carried out within the halal circle formed by islamic orders and prohibitions; is a system with many financial instruments in response to the problems generated by global capitalism. Moreover, this system is a flexible financial system that can be used not only for Muslims but also for the welfare of all people, provided that they do not compromise their basic principles and meet the changing conditions and needs of the times. This thesis is subject to examine the bans in islamic finance and the fundamental islamic laws by explaining adopted priciples in details and how this system emerged as a powerful alternative to the conventional financial system. At first, the basic principles adopted by the islamic finance such as; riba, interest, garar, gambling, chance games and wasting bans are deeply mentioned and then in the framework of these limitations, both the general principles and teachings of islam, as well as the financial instruments developed by considering the needs and possibilities of the times have been thoroughly explained and discussed. If we look at the creation of these financial instruments from the economic life, the most important ones; karz-ı hasen, mudaraba, Müşareke, murabaha, icare, mufavada, inan, vucuh, şirket-i amal, muzaraa, sukuk, istisna, selem and takaful which have been determined and explained in detail.
