The phenomenon of excessive and uncontrolled urbanization, which started with the Industrial Revolution and showed itself during 20th century, especially in developing countries, has caused a rapid urban growth in most countries, resulting in urban sprawl and motorized travel with severe environmental, social and economic consequences. In addition to being an important source of greenhouse gas emissions, urban transport is also a threat to health due to air and noise pollution. Traffic congestion caused by unsustainable transportation systems is responsible for significant economic and productivity costs for passengers and freight carriers. Existing urban transport which is not equally accessible for everyone also leads to social inequality. This thesis examines the search for solutions in the context of sustainable transportation and calls for the adoption of Eco-mobility in the context of Organic Transport, which enables the creation of more compact and efficient urban spaces. In this context, we have tried to apply the indicators that the concept has revealed on the example of Bozcaada. At the same time, it emphasizes the role of accessibility-based urban planning in the development of sustainable cities where sustainable modes of transportation are preferred. Success in this area is beneficial to both humans and the environment; is a condition for the creation of more equitable, healthy and productive urban living environments.
