İlhan Berk'in çeşitli mekânlarla örülü şiirleri mekânı bir uğrak yeri olmaktan çıkararak kendi yaşamından ve gözlemlerinden yarattığı tinsel güçle mekânı farklı anlamlarla çeşitlendirmiştir. Hatıra ve düşlerle topografik niteliğinden uzaklaşarak hayaller, anılarla, duygularla anlam kazanan mekânlar kişinin dünyaya bakışını, ruh halini, yaşamından kesitleri sunan, mekâna dair yaklaşımlarını gösteren önemli husus olarak yer alır. İlhan Berk'in karmaşık dil yapısı şiirlerindeki mekân algısının tespitini zorlaştırmış olsa da yazdığı denemeler ve yaptığı söyleşiler konuya ışık tutmamızı sağlamıştır.İlhan Berk'in şiirlerindeki mekânın sorgulandığı çalışmamız üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölüm İlhan Berk'in şiirlerinin önemli bir parçasını oluşturan kentlerdir. İkinci bölümşiirlerdeki iç mekân unsurlarından ev, otel ve mabetler ve dış mekân unsurlarından sokak / cadde, tabiat, dağ, gökyüzü tespitinden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmamızın sonuç bölümünde ise Berk'in şiirlerinden yansıyan mekân algısı ve çeşitliliğinin Berk'in içsel haritasını oluşturduğu üzerinedir.
