Özet

The objective of this research was to determine structural analysis and development opportunities of the current protected cultivation enterprises and productions systems in Manisa Region. For this purpose, 40 enterprises were selected from the current protected cultivation enterprises. For the selected enterprises, main properties and structural features of production structures were determined by face to face survey, measuring and photographing studies. The relationships between the production systems and main properties of enterprises were statistically evaluated. In addition, constructions of the production systems were analyzed in terms of the static. The research revealed that protected cultivation enterprises are generally family-type in the region. Education level of owners is low and the production of protected cultivation has an important place in terms of economic value. The most important problem in all enterprises is capital issue. It is determined that undrained soil culture system is used in family-type enterprises while drained soilless culture system is used in commercial-type enterprises. Most of the enterprises were established outside of settlements and the structures are block shaped, no compartmental, and round style high tunnels. It was also found that production systems are not usually based on a project and have problems in terms of climatization. In addition, building elements of production systems cross-sections are not sufficient.
