Özet

The purpose of this study was to investigate the fix-game subject and evaluate it's reflection on Turkish Professional Football Leagues. 824 players participated to the study where questionnaire method was used. This study was indicated that, managers (%34.6) and referees (%29.7) played main roles in fix-game events. Their roles in fix game were significantly different than others (trainer, player and gambler)(p<0.05). On the other hand subjects believed that; the fix game situations were very effective for teams to be champion or to drop out of their leagues(%83.1). Main two methods of fixed game made by the conspirators were reaching referee (%36), and giving players an incentive bonus to encourage them before a match (%34). And these methods were significantly different than others statistically(p<0.05). The subjects also indicated that when a team remains unclaimed position in the league, they could not perform a real performance in the match of the rest of the league (%82.8). They determined that its reason was lack of motivation(%71.8). However, they pointed out that their motivation was increased with an incentive bonus (%77.5), which was the most considerable result of this study. Consequently, fix-game was a reality of the soccer in Turkey just like the rest of the world. In addition by taking all measurements to prevent this type of sports crimes can't be enough completely. They can only be minimized by all measurements.
