However, they were used in Turkey in the mid-twentieth century for the first time. The use of credit cards all around the world is the first step for the point of individual banking. In the early days they were used only for consumption and the whole amount of debt was paid on the date of payment. Nevertheless there are many alternatives of payment nowadays. For the firms, it helps to maintain the continuity of consumption and ends the addiction to the cash. The banks also have worries income under the name of commission, expense and interest Although it is thought that it has a negative effect in encouraging consumption, such negative criticisms can be tolerated beside their profits. On the other hand, one of the main risks that the banks confront with is; the total amount of the expenses is not paid by the customers. The constractioe of the card system in Turkey was established by BKM J.S.C but it is not the same in other countries. In the world the international card institutions, Visa and MasterCard, can provide this service in all countries except the USA. BKM also has the risk centralization due to the users of cards. They cause to effect the economy positively by increasing and facilitating the consumption and increasing the employment and the level of national income. As it avoids using cash, it limits the cost of sources for the bank system and has a positive effect on the ratio of the interest Since they cause the invoice shopping, they hinder the outlaw economy and have a positive effect on public income. The input of foreign exchange increases when the foreigners use them. The credit cards which increase the commerce and consumption are thought to have a negative effect on inflation. ÖZET Kartlar ilk defa 19. yüzyılın ortalarında, A.B.B'de kullanılmaya başlamıştır.
