Prof. Turgut Kaplan Investigation of locus of control of 14-16 years aged footballers with respect to different variables The purpose of this study is to find out effects of different variables onto locus of control of 14-16 years (B-young) aged footballers. Research study was done amoung the footballers of 7 teams of B-young (14-16 years aged) category soccer league. 102 volantier sportsman was chosen as sample group from these teams. Average age of the participants volantiers was calculated as 15.04 year. Research study was done with the permission of the trainers after they were informed about the subject of the research syudy. Rotter Internal- External Locus of control Scala and personel information questionaries were applied to the volantiers. Results were evaluated by using SPSS 10.0 statistical software programme. Frequency and percentage values were obtained from this software programme. The obtained data showed a normal distribution according to the One-Way ANOVA normality test. Integer and Tukey tests of Post Hoc Multiple Comparison Tests were used to evaluate variance homogenity. All statistical analysis were based on 0.05 significant precision value. It was found that young footballers (14-16 years aged ) of B-young category have internal locus of control more than external locus of control. The volantiers declaring their father's job as retired were found to have more internal locus of control with respect to the others in the sample group. Other variables were not found to effect the locus of control Factors effecting locus of control. 44.
