This study focuses on the GIS application, supported by current software technologies being used as a guide for users in presenting historic residential areas and structures, located in Denizli. Due to this the GIS application has been recommended in being a helpful application for Denizli which hosts a range of archaeological and historical riches. With this online application domestic and foreign tourists planning on visiting Denizli, can easily find what type of structure they want, and will be able to quickly access images, academic information and road maps. Even though GIS data collection and processing methods differ, the most appropriate methods have been selected and collected on the spatial data bases. The most important contribution of this thesis is that it uses frequently used, up to date software development technologies providing integration with other applications. Therefor it?s easier to improve implementation. The data then has been published with visual components. A secure, visual and ergonomic interface has been presented to the administrators of the application that provides ease of use.
