The world witnessed two different progresses related to each other after 1980 which was defined as globalisation process. The first one of these is the practices in relation to the liberalization of capital and financial accounts which started after 1980 and gained speed after 1990. The second one is that, negative results have showed up in respect to income distribution in many countries during the process in which an extraordinary increase has been seen both in the volume and velocity of capital flows. Neo-liberal policies defending less developed countries must open to foreign investors and thus an economic development can be realised with the acquired foreign resources has caused these countries face with a heavy burden of debt and heavy working and living conditions for low income groups.Similiar patterns showed up in Turkey which liberal policies were implemented after 1980. Practices which aimed at commercial and financial liberalization increased capital flows considerably with trading volume. The production shifted to financial sector; but the speculative financial flows gave rise to economic fragility. In this period which debt burden has increased, economic crises have arised; labours' share of added value has decreased; and distribution has worsened to the detriment of labour. In the light of all these, concepts of capital flows and income distribution have been studied; the factors that facilate movement for capital have been explained within the context of pull factors arising from the country that needs capital and the push factors arising from the country that has capital surplus; and in the distinction of different types of capital flows has been given place to the theories, types and tendencies. Consequently, in view of transformation of Turkey in the globalization process, the period after 1980 has three sub-periods; in three sub-periods, the patterns about capital flows and income distribution have been analysed and have come to a conclusion.
