This research was carried out at Faculty of Agriculture of Harran University between 2006-2007 education period, by using various irrigation methods on the development of fungal pathogens. In the study, H2274 tomato, Aydın Siyahı aubergine and a local Urfa variety of pepper seedlings were used as plant materials. Tomato and pepper plants were inoculated with V. dahliae and the aubergine variety was inoculated with Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melongenae. The study was conducted in a randomized block design with four replicates. Every plot contained 14 plants. Inoculataion and control groups were employed in th study. The plants were inoculated with root-dipping inoculation method. After the inoculation, the height and symptom index of plants were measured weekly for a period of 8 weeks. Inoculated and control plants were planted with 50 cm apart between 70 cm row spaces. Field conditions were prepared before the start of inoculation. Irrigation intervals were made 10 days for tomato and pepper plants and for 5 days for the aubergine plants. The control plots were irrigated with 4 to 5 day intervals on demand.During the trials some soil parameters were also measured such as dry and fresh weight of plants and soil samples, soil pH, Soil EC values, mineral contents of soil and chlrophyll contents of plants. The pathogencicity of fungal sources on tomato, pepper and aubergine plants, were evaluated and the negaive effect of fungal propagules caused diseases on those plants and increased disease symptoms. However, WP irigation method partly improved the plant condition. This irrigation could be advised possibly in soils where less virulent fungi are prevalent.

Her parselde (tekerrürde) 14 bitki bulundurulmuştur.
