In this study, it is aimed how to integrate project based learning with cloud computing technology in distance education. In this way, it is tried to determine how the teacher-student roles and project based learning activities with cloud computing technology occur within the study. The study was applied to Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies Distance Education Programs' 3rd grade students, in 2012-2013 fall semester. The study was performed by 13 students, 7 of them are male and 6 of them are female, in the internet based programming lesson. The research period took eight weeks, two weeks of which were for preparation process. The research data is consist of students's screen recordings, interviews with students and students's answers to open-ended questions. Data was analyzed, formed and commented with two different qualitative analysis methods such as; descriptive analysis and content analysis. The results showed that cloud computing technology eases the planning, cooperation, sharing and communication. With the help of this, project based learning activities can be performed more effectively. In distance education, while project based learning activities were being applied on cloud computing technology, it was seen that teachers's roles were guidance, technical support, organizing and providing communication. It was confirmed that application of this activities helped the students to be more collaborative, communicative, responsible, harmonic, investigative, leader, humping and practitioner.Key Words: Distance Education, Cloud Computing Technologies, Project Based Learning, Office365, Teacher and Student roles.
