The universal principles of ethics have been changing since the existence of humanity. Ethics and ethics are one of the main issues that philosophers have dealt with for centuries. The press, which has an important function in societies, also has its share of ethical codes and principles. The ethics issue is discussed throughout the history of the press, and whether or not and what is in accordance with ethical principles have been expressed at various times and from various opinions. The importance of media ethics has become more prominent today. Media, the main purpose; it has become a commercial commodity and has deviated from the ethical principles for rating and circulation for its aim. Therefore, media, which is the fourth power, which has the power and ability to reshape, reproduce and interpret social structure and order, has become the focus of discussions in the context of ethical principles. In the thesis, after the discourse analysis is discussed theoretically through the main theme of ethics in the media, the process of Fenerbahçe Club Presidential Election, the journalism method applied by the printed press, three months before the election and one month after the election, with the framework of the codes of ethics that the method used throughout, evaluation and questioning the understanding of journalism and its effects were revealed.During this period, the process and news in the selected newspapers were discussed and content and discourse analysis were conducted upon the items of news that were determined as samples.
