Özet

In this study, the polyphonic works composed by the Turkish composers for the Turkish music instruments were examined in the context of the polyphonic music studies that started in the Ottoman Period and continued throughout the Republican Period. It is aimed to present the similar and different aspects of Turkish music composers' Turkish musical instruments in terms of polyphonic musical understanding and for which instruments they are composed for and compositions of these works with Western Music form structures. For this purpose; Turkish composers who composed polyphonic works for Turkish music instruments were determined and the compositions they composed were taken into the scope of the examination. In this context, the international features of the forms in which the works were composed were given in this study and then the form features of the works composed by the Turkish composers were mentioned and then the form features of the works of the Turkish composers were compared with the international form features and the results and recommendations were given.
