This master of sciences thesis, pure and different ratios (%1, %3, %5, %7 ve %10) of Tellurium (Te) doped CdO thin films were grown on the glass substrate by using sol-gel dip coating method having some benefits such as basic and easy applicable compared to other thin film production methods. To investigate the effect of Tellurium doped on the physical properties of CdO, the structural, morphological and optical properties of growth thin films were examined. Optical results investigate that %1 Te-doped CdO thin film has the maximum transmittance of about 87%, and the values of optical energy band gap increases from 2.50 to 2.63 eV with the increase of Te-doping ratio. From X-ray diffraction spectra, it has seen that all of thin films were formed polycrystalline and cubic structure having (111), (200) and (311) orientations. The structure of CdO thin films with dopant was formed the unstable CdTeO3 monoclinic structure crystal plane (-122 ), however, the intensity of this peak of the crystalline phase decreased with the increase of Te-doping ratio. From SEM images, it has seen that particles have homogeneously distributed and well hold on to surface. Additionally, grain size increases from 27 to 121 nm with the increase of Te-doping ratio.

Bu tez çalışmasında, saf ve farklı oranlarda (%1, %3, %5, %7 ve %10) tellür katkılanarak CdO ince filmleri, ince film üretim yöntemleri arasında basit ve uygulanabilirliği kolay olan sol-jel yönteminin daldırma ile kaplama metodu kullanılarak cam alttaş üzerine büyütülmüştür. Katkılanan tellür elementinin CdO' nun fiziksel özellikleri üzerinde yaptığı etkiyi incelemek için üretilen ince filmlerin optiksel, yapısal ve morfolojik özellikleri incelenmiştir. Optiksel özellikler incelendiğinde, %1 Te katkılı CdO ince filminin %87 ile en yüksek geçirgenliğe sahip olduğu ve yasak enerji bant aralığı değerlerinin (2.50 eV ? 2.63 eV) Te katkı oranının artmasıyla arttığı görülmüştür. X-ışını kırınım spektrumları incelendiğinde, ince filmlerin tamamında (111), (200) ve (311) yönelimlerine sahip kübik ve polikristal yapının oluştuğu görülmüştür. Katkı ile birlikte CdO ince filmlerinin yapısında (-122 ) yönelimine sahip kararsız CdTeO3 monoklinik yapının oluştuğu ancak katkı oranı arttıkça bu pikin şiddetinin azaldığı görülmüştür. SEM görüntüleri incelendiğinde ise tanelerin homojen olarak dağıldığı, yüzeye tutunmaların iyi olduğu ve Te katkı oranı arttıkça tanecik boyutunun arttığı (27-121 nm) görülmüştür.
