There are many elements in the games that connect the player to him/her self, motivate and make fun. If we can carry these elements in the environment to outside the game; we can also have fun, motivation and commitment. As a result of this idea, the concept of gamification has emerged which means that the elements of the game are moved to the environments outside the game. In this thesis by analyzing the concept of gamification, master's and doctoral theses on gamification those have been made in Turkey were examined. 34 masters and 8 doctoral theses related to the subject were found and included in the study. Despite the fact that they mainly work on education; communication, modeling, marketing, and so on. There are also studies in which the gamification is the main role in the research, and there are studies in which it is in the auxiliary role. As a result that, it has been seen that besides fully used gamification systems, it can be used by being included in the system with only a few elements of gamification. As a result of the research; the use of gamification has been found to have positive effects on motivation, attitude and academic achievement.
