Yapılan çalışma ile Eskişehir İli içerisinde bulunan mağaralarda yayılış gösteren yarasa türleri; tür çeşitliliği, populasyon özellikleri ve ekolojik gereksinimleri açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Yarasa tespit edilen 15 mağara, yarasaların; üreme, beslenme ve hibernasyon dönemleri göz önüne alınarak yıl boyunca incelenmiştir.Çalışma ile yarasa bulunan mağaralarda Microchiroptera subordosunun Vespertilionidae familyasına ait; M. myotis, M. blythii, M. capaccinii ve M. emerginatus, Rhinolophidae familyasına ait; R. hipposideros, R. ferrumequinum, R. blasii, R. euryale, R. mehelyi, Miniopteridae familyasına ait Miniopterus schreibersii türleri tespit edilmiştir. Yarasa tespit edilen mağaraların ve bulundukları alanların özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Alan özellikleri bölgedeki yarasa bulunmayan mağaraların alan özellikleri ile karşılaştırılarak yarasaların mağara seçimindeki kriterler ortaya konulmuştur. Uluslararası koruma birliği (IUCN) 2016' da yayımladığı tehlike altındaki türler listesinde çalışma ile belirlenen türlerden: M. myotis, M. blythii, M. emerginatus, R. hipposideros, R. ferrumequinum, R. blasii' nin asgari endişe; R. euryale ve Miniopterus schreibersii' nin tehdite yakın; M. capaccinii ve R. mehelyi' nin ise hassas türler kategorisinde olduğu bilinmektedir. Bölgede bulunan, tehdit altındaki bu türlerin yaşam döngüsünde kilit role sahip mağaraların ve bulundukları alanların koruma altına alınması türlerin bölgedeki varlığı açısından önem taşımaktadır.Anahtar Kelimeler:Yarasa, Chiroptera, Eskişehir, Mağara.
