In this thesis, the perception of the philosophical sciences of Ottoman scholars has been revealed, based on the Ottoman literature of sciences classification. Due to the width of the subject and the literature, our thesis is limited to the 18th century, in which the classical works in this area were written starting from the establishment of the state and through seven works and their authors whose abilities to represent the whole of the literature within the framework of the leading problems.Tashkoprizadah who reached an unattainable position in the Ottoman literature of sciences classification which had a distinctive terminology as `mebadi-i ashara/ten principles` during the process and which has two main branches as philosophical/rational and religious/learnt by source, assembled the criteria of `ontological rank`, `method` and `source` in his classification with a holistic perspective. In this literature, the three problems that are more encountered are `the eternality of the universe`, `the corporeality of the resurruction` and `the subject of Ilm al-Kalam`. The discussions made by the Ottoman scholars around these subjects have caused the physics and the metaphysics under the theoretical part of the philosophy of Avicenna along with the logic to be subject to Ilm al-Kalam with the influence of al-Gazzālī and Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī. On top of it, these discussions have led the claim that Ilm al-Kalam which it's subject was made in the process `known` as `the highest science` has taken over the position of the metaphysics which is inappropriate to be needed. Mathematical sciences and medical sciences which are the sub-branches of physics are accepted as the privileged sciences by scholars due to the three main reasons: `Their showing of the perfect creation, the power and the attributes of Allah in accordance with the contemplation order of Qur'an`, the `fiqh perspective` which is common in the whole literature and `being required for the survival of the human life, the society and the state.` Practical philosophical sciences, especially ethics have been studied continuously in the literature with discussions on the ways of acquiring the knowledge.Key Words: Classification of sciences, Ottoman thought, philosophy, al-Gazzālī, ten principles.

Anahtar Kelimeler: İlimler tasnifi, Osmanlı düşüncesi, felsefe, Gazzâlî, mebâdi-i aşere.
