This study mainly based on the first volume of Ahmed-i Dâ'î's common history book Tevârîh-i Şâhî fî'l-ehâdîs-i ilâhî which was written in 1429 for the sixth Ottoman Sultan Murad II by his own order to the author. The study consists of the grammar of the first volume of the manuscript, critical edition of the text where the three found out copies of the manuscript took place, index and glossary parts. This study based on the author's edition which was found in the Library of University of Berlin (Hs. Or. 9570); due to this version of the text was edited by the author himself, it was not necessary to prepare the edition criticized text of the manuscripts, but aim of preparing edition criticized text was to provide the all copies of the text entirely for the use of researchers; therefore the other two copies of the manuscript which are found in the Library of University of Gotha / Germany (Haleb, nu. 254) and Süleymaniye Library / İstanbul (Lala İsmail Efendi, nu. 306) are involved in the edition criticized text. It was not appropriate to fix the three copies of the text into as one behalf of the Berlin edition was edited by the author himself; if there were any missing pages at the beginning or end of the manuscript or any damaged or undistinguishable words, we could consider to fix the text, but author's edition is in good condition. Therefor the differences of spelling or added / derived sentences from the Gotha (Haleb, nu. 254) and Süleymaniye (Lala İsmail Efendi, nu. 306) are shown at the down side of the pages in the footnotes area. Via just a few words were quite a bit hard to distinguish which were located at the end or beginning of the lines; simply read from Gotha and Süleymaniye copies and these are added to the text between parentheses. When preparing the edition criticized text of the manuscripts, we conformed to the rules of transcription. Before analyzing the text from grammatical approach at the forth chapter of the study, we have laid out the orthographic and phonetic characteristics of the manuscript and also explained the basic criterions in detail which have been held on paying attention during the transcription of the manuscript. From the grammatically, phonetically, semantically and orthographically approaches; the language of the text has got Old Anatolian Turkish characteristics. On the other hand we have identified some archaic features which the author's and copyist's dialects might be caused them to occur. The grammatical analyze of the text is based on the author's edition which is held in the Library of University of Berlin (Hs. Or. 9570), the orthographic and phonetic features which were occurred in the other two copies of the manuscript are clearly explained at the second and third chapters of the study. At the Index and Glossary chapters, we clearly determined to observe the current meanings of the words from the text; therefore we have paid attention not to receive the all explanations and meanings of the entries from dictionaries, but the only ones which were in use in the text.
