Araştırma beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde problem durumu, araştırmanın amacı, alt amaçları, önemi, sınırlılıkları ve tanımları yer almıştır. İkinci bölümde kuramsal çerçeve kapsamında geleneksel oyun, teknolojinin hayatımıza girmesi ile oyun anlayışının bilgisayar oyunlarına dönüşümü, bağlanma, bağımlılık, internet bağımlılığı, bilgisayar ve bilgisayar oyun bağımlılığı tanımlarına yer verilmiştir.
