ABSTRACTTHE COMPARING OF STATE ANXIETY LEVELS OF CADET WRESTLERS IN GRECO-ROMEN STYLE AND FREE STYLE The aim of this study is to investigate state anxiety levels of cadet wrestlers who competitor in free style and Greco-Romen style wrestling that one of the most important value of Turkish people. The sample of this study is wrestlers who are competitors in free style and Greco-Romen style participating 15. International Victory Tournament. Before competition, Spielberger's State and Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and individual information form was applied to wrestlers by National Team Coaches. Data collected from inventory and forms are analyzed by SPSS (version 16) statistic program and evaluated with using frequency and percentage and independent-samples t test. As result of this study; there are significant differences between the points of state anxiety of wrestlers in free style and Greco-Romen Style (p<0,001; Free style: µs=48,67, SDs= 5,23; Greco-Romen Style: µgr=43,85, SDgr= 7,38). Also, statistical differences is found at level of p<0,05 between licensed wrestling age and their points of state anxiety. Moreover, there are significant differences between the points of state anxiety of wrestlers and experience of participating international tournament (p<0,05). Furthermore, there are significant differences between the points of state anxiety of wrestlers and experience of placed in an important wrestling tournament (p<0,05). The results of this investigation show that; State anxiety levels of wrestlers are statistically differences according to styles of wrestling. Also, licensed wrestling ages, experiences of competition, placing in an important tournament are influenced on state anxiety levels of wrestlers.
