Özet

The concept of ?Veyl? which means `Woe unto! Alas! is mentioned in 42 places in Qur?an. It is used in two ways; first as a statement of threat used by Allah and His Prophets, second as a statement of regret used by people. Especially, the concept of Veyl which is used fort he ones who rejects Allah and the doomsday is also used for moral deficiencies like the neglect of worships such as salah and for cheating on the scale and gossipping.Murselat Surah in which veyl concept is mentioned most is the Surah that proves the afterlife with many evidences. The adressing of Veyl mentioned in this surah is generally used for whom that rejects afterlife and resurrection. These people who are the addressee of Veyl are exposed to the bitter torment of Allah. They will drown in the river of Veyl and they will say Alas! in regret. Not to be like these people, we have to understand Qur?an and perform it in our lives.

`Yazıklar olsun! Vay haline! Eyvah!`manalarına gelen `Veyl` kavramı Kur'an'da 42 yerde geçmektedir.
