Family is the smallest unit of society and is established by marriage. Islâm has given great importance to the religious family, encouraged marriage but has not tolerated divorce. The desired goal in the Islâmic family structure is that marriage lasts for a lifetime. Husband and wife should face difficult conditions of life together, support each other in joy and sorrow, share beauties and pains of life and they should turn the family environment into a warm home. However, problems arise between spouses for various reasons, divorce may happen. Divorce is a very delicate, very painful and generally irreversible situation. In this regard the example of the Holly Prophet is very important. The Prophet is the best example for Muslims with his words, actions and acceptances. The most important and the first condition of being a perfect Muslim is totake the Holy Prophet as a role model. `Certainly, you have an excellent model in the Messenger of Allah for one who hopes to meet Allah and the Last day and remember Allah much` like in this verse, his role model personality is emphasized in Quran. In this study, we aimed to reveal the exemplary of the Holy Prophet (s.a.s) and to examine his attitude towards divorce. The attitude that The Prophet (s.a.s), a role model, took to divorce has an important place for today's Muslims' attitudes and behaviors that they will show towards interparental and divorce. To reveal them is the purpose of our study. We believe that there are lessons that today's Muslims should draw from The Holy Prophet's attitudes. While preparing this study, we made a limitation in the hadith books and we brought together only the hadiths related to Talâq in Kutub-i Sitte. In the light of these hadiths, we tried to determine the attitude and behavior of the Prophet (s.a.s) towards divorce. However, we have also referred to other hadith books that we can access for the hadiths in Kutub-i Sitte. Our thesis consists of two chapters and conclusions apart from the introduction. In the introduction, the example of the Prophet Muhammad, the subject and resources are mentioned and the concept of Talâq ği on which the subject is built is emphasized. After the meaning in dictionary and term meaning of Talâq were presented, other concepts related to this concept were emphasized. The historical course of Talâq was revealed. In the light of the hadiths, before passing the first chapter called Talâq, Talaq in Jahiliyyah period was emphasized because of being one of the main factors in the emergence of Talaq during the period of Prophet Muhammad. In the first chapter, the hadiths related to Talâq in Kutub-i Sitte were evaluated and it was determined how to understand talâk in the light of hadiths and in the second chapter, the attitude of the Prophet towards divorce was tried to be put forward. In the conclusion part, a general evaluation was made and the results obtained in the thesis were mentioned. For this reason, as the title of the thesis, ` The Holy Prophet attitude towards divorce` was approved.Key Words: Prophet, Sunnah, Hadith, Divorce, Iddah.

Peygamber'in (s.a.s.) örnekliği çok önemlidir. Hz. Peygamber'i (s.a.s.) örnek almaktır. `And olsun, Allah'ın Rasûlünde sizin için; Allah'a ve ahiret gününe kavuşmayı uman, Allah'ı çok zikreden kimseler için güzel bir örnek vardır` ayetinde olduğu gibi onun örnek şahsiyeti Kur'an-ı Kerim'de vurgulanmıştır.Çalışmamızda Hz. Peygamber'in (s.a.s.) örnekliğini ortaya koymak maksadıyla onun boşanmalara karşı tavrını incelemeyi uygun gördük. Model insan Hz. Peygamber'in (s.a.s.) boşanmalara karşı izlediği yöntem, günümüz Müslümanlarının aile içi huzursuzluklara ve boşanmalara karşı sergileyecekleri tutum ve davranışlar için de önemli bir yere sahiptir. İşte bunları gözler önüne sermek çalışmamızın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Hz. Peygamber'in takındığı tavırlarda günümüz Müslümanlarının alması gereken ibretler olduğu kanaatindeyiz. Peygamber'in (s.a.s.) boşanmalara karşı tutum ve davranışlarını tespit etmeye çalıştık. Hz. Peygamber döneminde talâkın ortaya çıkmasındaki temel faktörlerden biri olması nedeniyle, cahiliye döneminde talâk üzerinde durulmuştur.Birinci bölümde `Kütüb-i Sitte` de geçen talâkla ilgili hadisler değerlendirilerek, hadisler ışığında talâk'ın nasıl anlaşılması gerektiği tesbit edilmiş ve ikinci bölümde de Hz. Peygamber'in boşanmalara karşı tavrı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu sebeple tez başlığının, `Hazreti Peygamber'in Boşanmalara Karşı Tavrı` şeklinde konulması uygun görülmüştür.Anahtar Kelimeler: Peygamber, Sünnet, Hadîs, Talâk (Boşanma), İddet.
