The purpose of this study was to compare cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills of athlete and non athlete students. A sample group of the study was 120 students (x?age= 21.40±2.02) with 62 females (x?age= 20.95±1.67) and 58 males (x?age= 21.87±2.25). Resusci Anne Skill Guide was used to collect data. ?Resusci Anne Skill Guide? was used to determine CPR ability of 45 athlete (20 female, 25 male) and 75 non athlete students (42 female, 33 male) studying at Mersin University. As for the statistical analysis of the data obtained in course of this research, the version 11.5 of the SPSS package program has been used. Data was analyzed by using two-way (2x2) ANOVA. There were significant differences between athlete and non athlete students. Research findings, have revealed that gender has effect of ?too little?, have revealed that the status of athletes and non athletes has effect of ?number correct, percent correct and too much? at the ventilation skills. Have interaction that gender and the status of athletes and non athletes have effect of ?number correct, percent correct? at the ventilation skills. Chest compressions skill findings, have revealed that gender has effect of ?average depth, total number, number correct, percent correct and too shallow?, have revealed that the status of athletes and non athletes has effect of ? average depth, number correct, percent correct and too shallow? on the chest compressions skills. Have interaction that gender and the status of athletes and non athletes has effect of ?average depth and too shallow? on the chest compressions skills.

Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin 62`si kız, 58`i ise erkektir. Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 21.40±2.02?dir (Kadın Ort.=20.95±1.67, Erkek Ort. =21.87±2.25).
