Özet:

Agricultural activity plays a large role in generating household income in the regions of Kyrgyzstan. Income from this activity makes up the majority of households. Therefore, the income and well-being of households largely depend on access to and quality of irrigation water. In this regard, this study examines the impact of irrigation on household income in rural areas. The study used data from the survey Life in Kyrgyzstan for 2016, using the method of least squares OLS to analyze the impact of various indicators. The results showed that age has a positive effect on household income from agricultural activities, and the income of family households, in contrast to single-parent families divorced, widowed, or unmarried, was significantly higher. At the same time, the income of single-owner peasant farms is lower than other organizational types of agricultural ones. The size of the field negatively affects household income. Access to canals as a source of irrigation has a significant impact on the level of income of farmers, and also, cultivation of the field significantly increases household income.
