Özet:

The cultural interaction between Arabic and Turkish literatures has led to an increased interest in the literary culture of different societies and comparative studies, subsequently boosting the demand for literary translation between the two languages. Migration may influence the quantity and quality of these translated literary works. This research problem stems from the lack of understanding regarding the impact of migration on the literary translation movement between Arabic and Turkish from 2012 to 2022. Accordingly, the significance of this research lies in monitoring this impact and its evolution to illustrate the role of migration in transmitting the cultures of Arab and Turkish societies. It also aims to identify the key themes focused on during translation, especially following the significant migration to Turkey by analyzing some translated literary works. The study aims to assess the extent of migrations impact on the literary translation movement between Arabic and Turkish from 2012-2022 by analyzing some translated works. The research sample consists of two translated novels: one into Arabic and the other into Turkish, to examine the cultural aspects and key themes emphasized in these translated works, especially following migration to Turkey. The researchers will rely on the theory of global multiculturalism to understand this impact, drawing on scholars such as Homi Bhabha, Avtar Brah, Kwame Appiah, and others. In other words, the selected works will not be analyzed solely from a literary perspective that focuses only on writing style and themes but also by emphasizing the social, political, and historical context of writing and then translating these works. The choice of Arabic and Turkish languages is based on the geographic region and Arab migration to it, as well as the significant cultural proximity and long-standing ties between Arab and Turkish societies that span centuries. This research adopts a qualitative methodology to analyze the impact of migration on translation in both languages through two translated literary works. The researchers hypothesize that the most important result of the study will highlight the extent to which migration has contributed to the development of the literary translation movement between Arabic and Turkish.
