Özet:

During the Second Constitutional period, characterized by the newfound freedom in the press, there was a notable proliferation of intellectual movements and resultant texts. History, particularly within the field of Islamic history, became a frequent point of reference in assessing the legitimacy of the periods ideologies. The common slogans of the era, including Liberty, Justice, Equality and Fraternity found emphasis not only in the life of Prophet Muhammad but also in the events in Islamic history. This emphasis led to a transformation in the perception of history, elevating it to the status of a crucial tool. Simultaneously, the diverse historical ideas prevalent during this period prompted intellectuals to recognize the necessity for a novel approach to writing Islamic history. In response, these intellectuals undertook initiatives within this evolving framework. Consequently, numerous texts on Islamic history were produced by pens reflecting different perspectives. In this reseaarch, 51 distinct Turkish Islamic history text were identified from the declaration of the Constitutional Monarch II 1908 until the abolition of the Ottoman Sultanate 1922, written by 36 different authors. This analysis also reveals that these texts adopted varying writing styles depending on the target audience. The methodology employed in each work provides insights into the historical perceptions prevalent during that era. The bibliography, arranged chronologically, specifies the styles and subjects of the texts, while also citing the sources referenced within them. Furthermore, if the preface of the texts contains the authors statements regarding the reason for writing their work, these have been quoted verbatim. This study comprises an annotated bibliography of Islamic history texts written during the 2nd Constitutional period. It provides an overview of the general content of the texts, emphasizing noteworthy points. Indeed, an effort has been made to make a modest contribution to researchers studying that specific period.

II.
