Özet:

In this study, the relationship of political bigotry with demographic variables and fear styles was analyzed. Bigotry is a form of behavior that is frequently encountered in ideas, religions and ideology, and it is excessive attachment to one belief and not accepting another belief. Bigotry is rooted in prejudice and can be seen as a congealing of prejudice. This behavior can occur under the influence of many factors in social life. These factors are; insecurity and fear, personality structure, ignorance, interest, rapid construction in society, lack of philosophical thinking, hiding ones own deficiency and lack of self-confidence. The sample group of this research was formed according to non-random purposeful sampling and by including snowball sampling method in the universe of Elazig province, from people who were considered bigoted by their environment and themselves. The research was conducted with the data obtained from 423 people by reaching some party centers and using the snowball sampling method in the community. In the research, the results were evaluated with the SPSS 22 program. Statistical evaluations were made as mean, T test, Anova analysis. Means are given with standard deviation. As a result of the research, a significant relationship was found between political bigotry and criticism, mockery, loneliness, punishment, fear of finding a job and some demographic variables.
