Özet:

Illustration, which is characterized as visual depictions of ideas and theories, is a kind of art of speaking with concepts. The thematic phenomena, conceptual infrastructure and in-depth thinking center that illustration contains within itself reveals the fact that it is a conceptually based discipline. At this point, conceptual illustration is reflected in the design universe as the art of metaphorical applications or allegories. Iconography, which is described as a scientific discipline that deals with the themes or meanings of works of art in the face of their styles, examining the events, people, order and patterns depicted in works of art, refers to the expansions of conceptual illustration interpreted with the content of iconology while analyzing the works with a morphological approach. The main purpose of the research is to evaluate the phenomena that determine the nature and basic dynamics of conceptual illustration on the iconographic axis and to reveal the related expansions with a new context. The research is limited to conceptual illustration and iconography in terms of general scope. Literature review method, one of the descriptive analysis methods, and document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, were used in the research. The findings show that there is iconographic semantic depth in conceptual illustrations and that the iconographic elements used are analyzed in terms of natural, consensual and contextual meaning.
