Özet:

Nowadays, in an environment where tensions in ethnic or religious relations are increasing and spreading, scientific studies on the subject of languages under the threat of extinction appear as both a theoretical and actual problem of the age. Wherever language death begins or occurs, apart from natural disasters, there is a society that is the dominant power politically, culturally, and even religiously, and against it, there are societies that, due to various practices, begin to lose their cultural identity, often their religion and finally their language. The onset of language death, which is manifested in various situations and stages, occurs when a language physically or biologically destroys its natural speakers through war, natural disasters, and exile. But this death is not limited to the biological death of humans. It cannot be generalized that if humans survive, so do their languages. Languages can also disappear, that is, they can die or be killed while people live. Therefore, in this research article, some scientific studies on Altai, Tuva, Khakas, and Shor languages, which are among the South Siberian Turkic dialects in danger of extinction due to various reasons, from the Soviet period to the present day will be compiled and analyzed.
