Özet:

This study examines the architectural features and rich wall paintings of the Kışla Village Mosque located in Kışla village, within the Ovacık district of Karabük province. The structure embodies characteristic elements of traditional Turkish architecture while also bearing strong traces of local culture. The mosque is integrated with a two-story village room, and its entrance is accessed from this room, making it an important space that reflects the social structure and communal spirit of the village. The building is noteworthy for its architectural details, functionality, and aesthetic components. The wall paintings are significant elements that enrich the interior of the mosque. The calligraphic panels and religious texts within the classic mosque setting are presented alongside decorative elements, creating a visual feast. Various ornamental features such as clocks and carpet compositions, as well as sword and flag motifs, carry profound meanings in historical and cultural contexts. These paintings not only offer aesthetic value but also contribute to the reinforcement of worship and social identity. The Kışla Village Mosque is not merely a place of worship; it is also an important structure that represents the cultural heritage of the village. By reflecting local artistic sensibilities, the wall paintings provide visitors with both a visual experience and deep insights into the villages historical and cultural background. This article aims to explore the architectural details of the mosque and the artistic elements within its interior, thereby revealing the understanding of architecture intertwined with art in the Kışla Village Mosque.
