Özet:

On the base of transition opinion from the Sultanate to the Republic there is an incline from dynasty to the people. It is an idea of populism that indicates basic principles of the Republic of Turkey, established under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal, and which also takes place among the symbols of Republican People’s Party. This is actually a principle which has been carried from the Ottoman period to the Republic. At the same time, it was a subject to important perceptual changes during the Republican period while being compared to the past. This movement has continued after Mustafa Kemal; nevertheless, a division has appeared between the people and populism.
