Özet:

The sustainable design approach, which is based on all kinds of efficiency in building production and dilutes waste generation, has become more and more preferred in recent years. As a sustainable material, adobe is natural, healthy and economical, and can be easily produced by simple tools without qualified craftsman. In this study, the application of the adobe used cat house designed with the aim of experiencing the contemporary use of adobe was made. The shelter function was chosen for the application trial due to the thermal comfort of the adobe material. In the conceptual section, adobe is analyzed in the context of sustainability and information about the rammed earth technique and the soil mixture Alker used is given. Examples of kennels produced by municipalities for stray animals were examined. The construction stages of the adobe cat house were explained with photographs. In the evaluation, conclusion and recommendations section, the problems encountered in practice and solution suggestions are mentioned. The study is important for the sharing of practical experience and awareness of sustainable construction. It also suggests alternative sustainable shelters that municipalities can implement in public spaces.
