Özet:

The Manuscripts Library contains the works of many valuable authors who have not yet come to light. The discovery of these works is important in terms of bringing the authors and their views in their works to light. This study is one of the works in the Manuscripts Library, which is the works of al-Ḥāji Sulaymān al-Shawkī al-Toḳadī after 11381726, who lived during the Ottoman period. Sulaymān al-Shawkī has two works. One of these two works is the work titled Risāla fī aḥvāl al-ḳıyāme, which is understood to be a treatise on jurisprudence about death; the other is the treatise titled Risāla fī qirāʾah al-ḍād, which explains the reading of the letter ḍādض from the perspective of the science of recitation-fiqh. Sulaymān al-Shawkī, whose both works include jurisprudential issues, has a treatise on the reading and tajweed science, the only evidence showing that he is competent in this science. This article is about the publication of this treatise by Sulaymān al-Shawkī on reading and jurisprudence and its analysis in terms of the science of reading and jurisprudence. In this study, the sentence analysis of the text of the treatise was made and the information given was analyzed both in terms of the science of qirāʾah and science of fiqh. In the treatise that is the subject of the study, the author explained with evidence that the reading of the letter z was a phonetic z group sound and that it was distant from the d group sound in terms of origin and characteristics. However, he did not say that it would be read like any of the other z vowels, despite being a z group. The author, taking into account those who say that the prayer will be invalidated if the letters are read incorrectly phonetically and the meaning is distorted, agreed that this situation occurs with the letter ḍād. However, considering that many people, including Arabs, have difficulty in pronouncing this letter, it is necessary and he emphasized that it would be permissible if it was read like the letter ẓaظ, which is close in origin or adjective.

Harflerin, fonetik yönden yanlış okunmasıyla mananın bozulması durumunda namazın bozulacağını söyleyenleri dikkate alarak, zâdض harfinde de bu durumun oluştuğu görüşünü kabul etse de Araplar dâhil birçok kimsenin bu harfin telaffuzunda zorlanmasından dolayı zaruret oluştuğuna dikkat çekmiş, mahreç veya sıfat yönünden ona yakın olan zâظ harfi gibi okunmasının istihsânen caiz olacağını vurgulamıştır.
