Özet:

The Presidency of Religious Affairs DİB tried to contribute to the relief activities after the earthquakes centered in Pazarcık and Elbistan with thousands of personnel sent to the disaster zone. The prominent activity among the duties and responsibilities of the DİB personnel, who have been active in the region since the first moments of the earthquake, has been spiritual counseling and guidance services. This study was shaped on the basis of the question What are the opinions of religious officials about spiritual counseling and guidance services for earthquake victims?. In this direction, the study was designed as a qualitative research to determine the views of religious officials on spiritual counseling and guidance services provided to earthquake victims. The study group consists of religious officials who provide spiritual counseling and guidance services for earthquake victims. The study group was determined by snowball sampling, one of the purposive sampling methods identified with qualitative research. Qualitative data collection methods such as document analysis and semi-structured interview techniques were adopted in the study. The current situation of spiritual counseling and guidance services for earthquake victims was tried to be determined through semi-structured interviews with religious officials providing these services. The semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool. The qualitative data obtained from semistructured interviews were analysed according to the descriptive analysis model. The data associated with each other were supported with direct quotations, thus rich descriptions were made, research findings were presented in a meaningful and logical way, and the reliability of the data was ensured.
