Özet:

This study aims to analyze the goals scored by set-piece organizations in the 20212022 and 20222023 Turkish Super League seasons. The study employed a descriptive survey model. The population of the study consists of 2108 goals scored in 694 football matches played in the Turkish Super League 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 football seasons, and the sample consists of 559 set-piece goals among the total number of goals. We examined the teams rates of winning, losing, and drawing competitions with goals scored from set-piece goals, the positive and negative situations according to the foot preferences of the players using penalties, the use of foot preferences in the corner kick according to zones 1, 2, and 3, the limb preference in the last kick in the used zones, the foot preference used in the field divided into six parts left outer edge, left inner, center, right inner, right outer edge, and the way it is used and crown organizations goal with foot and head from the right-left edge The analysis revealed that penalties accounted for 11.39 of the total goals, crowns for 1.90, corner kicks for 7.02, and free kicks for 6.21. Goals scored from set pieces constitute 26.52 of the total goals. In penalty kicks, foot preference has no effect on goals. When it comes to corner kicks, most goals come from the second zone, following the use of the right foot. Set pieces are one of the most important parts of modern soccer. Therefore, this study shows that teams can gain an advantage in both offense and defense by improving their set-piece strategies. It is recommended that attacking and defending teams develop specific set-piece strategies for areas where goals are most frequently scored.
