Özet:

Environment and health issues, which are included in sustainable development plans, have an important place in countries. While there are many defining development issues on economic growth, human health is among the most important parts of economic growth. Within economic growth, developments in environment and health issues in developing countries and developed countries have recently been the subject of more scrutiny. In this study, the impact of health spending on air pollution and growth in D-8 countries Turkey, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria and Pakistan for the period 2000-2020 is analyzed. In the study, the horizontal cross-section dependence of the variables is examined and their stationarity is calculated with the CIPS unit root test, which is among second generation tests. The homogeneity of the coefficients is tested with the homogeneity test, calculations are made with panel FMOLS Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares estimation results and the long-run country coefficients are analyzed by determining the long-run relationship of the countries. According to the results of the analysis; while an increase in growth leads to an increase in health expenditures, a change in air pollution caused to a decreasing effect on health spending.
