 Objective: This single-group quasi-experimental research was carried out to examine the effectiveness of a game-supported nutrition education program planned for children aged 7-9 years with Body Mass Index BMI; kgm2 85th percentile attending a primary school in Izmir. Material and Method: This study was conducted with students n26 without intellectual disabilities, with BMI 85th percentile, who volunteered to participate in nutrition education, and whose families gave permission. A nutrition education program was applied after school, at 12.50- 13.30 oclock, two days a week Wednesday-Thursday for eight weeks. The training was reinforced with games after each theoretical training week. The Nutrition Behaviours Determination Form, Nutrition Knowledge Level Determination Form, Self-Efficacy-Efficacy Scale-Child Form, 3-day Individual Food Consumption Record Form, and Anthropometric Measurement Follow-up Form were used as data collection tools. Data were analyzed with SPSS 25.0 package program, and p0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: There were 53.8 of girls, mean age was 7.930.34 years. There were improvements in some nutritional behaviours food consumption across television-computer, skipping meals after the study. Body weight, BMI percentile, and body fat ratio showed a significant increase at the end of the study p0.05. Self-efficacy levels, nutritional knowledge scores, and energy-nutrient intakes did not change. The ratio of energy provided by protein decreased p0.035. Conclusion: It is thought that nutrition education program should be carried out within the framework of long-term, sustainable programs, including family and school environment accompanied by physical activity education, and it is recommended for school managements, who have these opportunities, to cooperate with school health nurses and nutritionists.

 Amaç: Bu ön test-son test tek gruplu yarı deneysel araştırma, İzmirde bir ilköğretim okulunda eğitim gören 7-9 yaşlarındaki, Beden Kütle İndeksi BKİ; kgm2 85. persentil olan çocuklara yönelik planlanan oyun destekli beslenme eğitimi programının etkinliğinin incelenmesi amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Gereç-Yöntem: Araştırma BKİ 85. persentil olan, beslenme eğitimine katılmaya gönüllü ve ailesi izin veren, zihinsel engeli bulunmayan öğrencilerle n26 gerçekleştirilmiştir. Toplam sekiz hafta boyunca, haftanın iki günü Çarşamba-Perşembe okul sonrası 12.50-13.30 saatleri arasında beslenme eğitimi programı uygulanmıştır. Eğitimler her teorik eğitim haftası sonrasında oyunlarla pekiştirilmiştir. Veri toplama araçları olarak Beslenme Davranışlarını Belirleme Formu, Beslenme Bilgi Düzeyi Belirleme Formu, Özetkililik-Yeterlik Ölçeği-Çocuk Formu, 3 günlük Bireysel Besin Tüketim Kaydı Formu ve Antropometrik Ölçüm İzlem Formu kullanılmıştır. Veriler SPSS 25.0 paket programında analiz edilmiş, p0.05 istatistiksel olarak anlamlı kabul edilmiştir. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin 53,8i kız, yaş ortalamaları 7,930,34 yıldır. Çalışma sonrasında öğrencilerin bazı beslenme davranışlarında televizyon-bilgisayar başında besin tüketimi, öğün atlama durumu iyileşmeler görülmüştür. Vücut ağırlığı, BKİ persentili, vücut yağ oranı çalışma sonunda anlamlı artış göstermiştir p0,05. Özetkililik-yeterlilik düzeyleri, beslenme bilgi puanları, enerji-besin ögesi alımları değişmemiştir. Enerjinin proteinden sağlanan oranı düşmüştür p0,035. Sonuç: Beslenme eğitimi programının aile ve okul çevresini içine alan, fiziksel aktivite eğitimiyle birlikte uzun soluklu, sürdürülebilir programlar çerçevesinde yürütülmesi düşünülmekte, bu fırsatlarına sahip olan okul yönetimlerinin, okul sağlığı hemşireleri ve beslenme uzmanları ile iş birliği içinde olması önerilmektedir.
