Özet:

Career centers at universities are units established to support students career development throughout their education, to enhance their knowledge and experience through training and career-related events, and to help them find employment after graduation. Since their establishment, these centers have gradually evolved over time. In response to technological innovations and socio-economic changes, they have adapted to different models to meet the needs of universities and the labor market. Although career centers were initially focused on job placement, they now offer a wide range of services and practices beyond this original goal. In this context, comparing the services provided by career centers in different countries first requires an examination of their structural and functional characteristics. This study aims to investigate the historical development and current practices of career centers in the United States, selected European countries, and Turkey. The main objective is to analyze the development and services of career centers in Turkey in comparison with those in the selected countries, to identify similarities and differences, and to determine the developmental stage of career centers in Turkey. This research is significant in terms of understanding the current state of career centers in Turkey and contributing to their future development.
