Özet:

In the architectural works of the Turkish-Islamic societies constructed in Anatolia, it is seen that pre-islamic beliefs and both vital and artistic traditions related to these beliefs can smoothly be compatible and integrated with the Islamic belief and the customs derived from it. While the architectural work is being formed, it needs some conditions such as a common language, a common taste, and a common cultural environment. While creating an architectural texture in a unique geography like Anatolia, the richness of style and meaning stemming from the interaction of societies, nourished by diversity and variety draws attention. In this study, the oil lamp motifs used in Menteseogullari mosques are discussed in the context of the concept of symbolism, which is one of the foundations of religious art; material, technical and iconographic meanings will be discussed comparatively.
