Özet:

Aging is an inevitable process for every individual as they age. During this process, the losses experienced by individuals in their physical and cognitive functions, health, income, spousal and intimate relationships, and role and status reshape their relationship with society. This creates conditions that can predispose older individuals to social exclusion, discrimination, and loneliness. However, sometimes through political measures and sometimes through changes in the societal perceptions of older people, older individuals are less affected by social exclusion. This research analyzes how social inclusion, hidden in the small details of our daily lives, can be eliminated through social exclusion and age-based labor market exclusion experienced by older individuals, through the character Ove, who has passed away, is forced to retire, and is just entering old age. The studys analysis was conducted through document analysis, which is used in qualitative research, and descriptive analysis using scenes and characters from the film that encompass themes of elderly welfare, ageism and the labor market, and social exclusion and inclusion in old age. In conclusion, the sections presented within the scope of this study, which suggests the use of the educational feature of movies, show that every individual can take small but effective steps for these negative situations experienced by elderly people and that these steps can have a positive change in the world of elderly people.
