Özet:

ABSTRACT Because of its persistence in memory and the width of the area where they are used, manias short folk poems are found in a wide place in folk culture. Mani is the most common folk poetry that exist in almost every region where Turkish is used. This study was established with forty eight folk poems compiled in Yörük villages of İştip city and these folk poems manias were examined from various angles. İn this study is given information about the characteristics of the folk poems and also our opinion about their evaluation. İn addition, we have included some studies on classification of folk poems there is also given a general information about Yörüks, an overview of Yörüks history, their way of living etc. Furthermore, general information and observations are taken into consideration during the evaluation of the short folk poems. While the last link of the culture continues to live in the region, albeit partially, and to preserve its vitality in the memories, it has been a valuable work to protect Turkish culture. Today, although it is seen that this oral cultural richness has decreased compared to the past, it still continues and it is believed that it will continue. Learning and transferring our culture and history to future generations should be one of our most important duties. It is a fact that this culture must be written down in order to continue. If we want to protect these beautiful places we live in, we need to protect our own history and culture and pass it on to future generations.
