Özet:

In this study, the Perceived Workplace Support scale was developed by adapting various scales into Turkish and combining them to encompass the subdimensions of perceived support in the workplace. The validity and reliability of the scales were assessed through the collection of data from 338 white-collar employees engaged in the three local governments. We developed the ultimate form of the Likert-type scale, which includes indifference, interest and recognition, perceived supervisor support, and perceived coworker support. It consists of four factors and 26 items. Cronbachs Alpha coefficients for the four-factor scale structure The sub-dimension level analysis revealed that the four-factor scale structure displayed Cronbachs Alpha coefficients ranging from 0.88 to 0.97. Furthermore, we observed that the factors explained 75.3 of the total variance. We found that the scale had an internal consistency coefficient of 0.95. These findings suggest that the perceived support scale is reliable and valid to a sufficient extent within the Turkish cultural context.
