Özet:

After the Ottomans and the Karamanids became neighbors, the struggle between them was inevitable. The Ottomans and the Karamanids confronted each other to dominate Anatolia. In this study, the struggle between two states were emphasized by taking Yildirim Bayezid period as the basis. The most significant struggles in this period were the Siege of Konya and the Battle of Akcay. Information about this subject is available in the chronicles. Again, modern studies based on these have examined the subject. However, there has not been enough discussion on hesitant issues. This study focused on problematic or controversial issues. The perspectives of Ottomans, Karamanids and some other sources on the date and place of the war and some developing events were compared. Thus, it is seen that the same event is examined in a different ways by several resources. The state of Alaeddin, ruler of Karamanid, and his children and the effects of Ankara War were examined in terms of this subject. Information about his family will also be given. Different information on the topic in the sources was compared and a conclusion was reached. The fact that there were not many documents about the period made the sources of the period more important. However, the use of these sources without being criticized raised some other problems. In some areas, question marks could not be eliminated, but problematic areas were specified.
